Managers in action – research projects about managers and their support to employees with common mental health problems
Short description
What conditions or resources do managers have in preventing mental health issues and supporting employees experiencing common mental health problems? This is a central question we are exploring in our current research projects.
What conditions do managers have when it comes to mental health issues in the workplace?
What actions do managers take, and what is their capacity to support employees experiencing common mental health problems?
Managers play a crucial role in ensuring that employees with mental health challenges receive the support they need to remain in the workplace. To provide effective support, appropriate conditions, knowledge, and resources are required factors, which can vary significantly.
In various projects, we have investigated managers conditions, what managers do and how they support employees dealing with mental health issues. In our latest project, we will examine how managers work with prevention of mental health problems in the workplace.
