Applying to the Master’s Program in Political Communication

As part of the selection process, applicants are required to submit a CV and a Letter of Intent, using the mandatory template provided. Save your CV and Letter of Intent as PDF files and upload them together with the other required documents as part of your application. The application deadline also applies to these documents. The specified word limits must not be exceeded.

Your CV must be written in English, be no more than one page in length, and provide an overview of your academic and professional background.

Your Letter of Intent must answer all of the questions in the mandatory template:

• What are your personal and professional goals, and how do you believe the program will help you develop in line with these goals?
• What aspects of the program’s structure and content have particularly attracted your interest?
• How have your experiences, both academic and non-academic, contributed to your interest in the issues addressed by the program and specifically prepared you for a program in political communication? If you have studied or worked abroad, please also briefly describe how these experiences have contributed to your interest in political communication and prepared you for the program.
• Please also describe your previous experience of writing academic theses. If you have written a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s thesis, state its title, topic, method, and subject area. If you have not written a thesis or are still in the process of writing one, please indicate this.

Applications that do not use the mandatory template or exceed the specified word limits may not be considered.

Instructions:

• Download the Letter of Intent template available on this page and open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader or another PDF reader that supports fillable forms.
• Complete all required fields and save the completed document as a PDF using the following file name: political_communication_surname_givenname.pdf.
  Example: political_communication_smith_john.pdf.
• Upload your completed Letter of Intent together with your CV and all other required application documents via your account at Universityadmissions.se - Apply to Swedish universities.
• The application deadline also applies to these documents. If the specified word limits are exceeded, the application will be considered invalid.
