About us

The Centre for Health Governance purpose is to generate directly applicable knowledge with significance for the health care sector. It is a strategic collaboration between the School of Business, Economics and Law and the Sahlgrenska Academy, with a special focus on Health Management and Health Economics.

Centre for Health Governance sub aims
- To be a node for research and education in the field of Health Governance with a clear responsibility for communication and collaboration within and outside the academy.
- To create the conditions for interdisciplinary collaborations and, above all, facilitate the integration of traditional governance issues in health care with health management and health economic methods and theories.
- To be a basis for competence development for students and practitioners in health care to meet the challenges the area faces.
- To make visible and clarify the university's competence in the field for external stakeholders, create a clear contact area within the University of Gothenburg in Health Governance
matters (one-stop-shop), and offer capacity to carry out research and education.
- To be a platform for collaboration with stakeholders outside the academy where both parties' expertise can contribute to excellent research and relevant policy
recommendations.

Collaboration
