About Caroline Mårland

Caroline is a clinical psychologist at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. She started her career within the forensic psychiatric care and conducted her doctoral studies at the Centre for Ethics, Law and Mental Health (CELAM), University of Gothenburg. Since 2022, Caroline works at the Neuropsychiatric Clinic for Children and Adolescents and collaborates with Gillberg Neuropsychiatry Centre in various research projects.

Research interests

Caroline defended her PhD thesis in 2022 entitled  ”The Autism – Tics, ADHD and other Comorbidities inventory (A-TAC) Validity, reliability and the measurement of autism in males and females”.  The doctoral project aimed to conduct psychometrics evaluations of the screening instrument A-TAC that has been developed at the Gillberg Neuropsychiatry Centre. Caroline's research is mainly focused on autism and other overlapping neurodevelopmental disorders, psychometrics and longitudinal studies.
