About Panagiotis Patsis

I am a Doctoral Student at the ASSESS research school (Assessment of Knowledge in Educational Systems) within the Department of Education and Special Education. I am also a member of the Prerequisites Education Result (FUR) research group.

My research centers on educational equity, educational measurement, and international large-scale assessments. I am particularly interested in examining how students’ family social backgrounds influence educational outcomes, both across different countries and specifically within Sweden. To explore these questions, I analyze data from large-scale international and national surveys, including TIMSS, PISA, and UGU. In my study, I utilize advanced analytical techniques, such as multilevel analysis and latent variable modeling.
