Presentation OSKAR ENGDAHL is Associate Professor (Docent) in sociology and Director of studies for the undergraduate and graduate level at the Department.

Specialist Fields Engdahl’s research is mainly focused on white collar crime, workplace crime and crime prevention. His research has also covered the growth of tax havens and financial offshore markets in the global economy.

Research projects 2019-2021 – Crime, built environment and sustainable cities: In-depth analyzes of fraud victimization at the micro-geographical level (Formas); 2009-2015 – Crime prevention and financial crime. Funded by the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet); 2002-2008 – Financial intermediation and economic crime. Funded by the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet); 1999-2003 – Tax havens and economic crime. Funded by The Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (Brottsförebyggande rådet).

Teaching and tutoring Engdahl is Director of studies for the undergraduate and graduate level at the Department and is responsible for courses in criminology. He has also had responsibility for courses in general sociological theory and macrosociology and was programme co-ordinator for the Department’s Masters Programme in Criminology during the years 2009-2015. Engdahl tutors essays for bachelor and master degree with a criminological approach.
