Kerstin Ulin
Senior Lecturer/ Nurse
Care in Long-term ConditionsAbout Kerstin Ulin
I am Vice Head of Education and Director of Studies at the department, which is my main assignment.
I am responsible for the Bridging Programme for Nurses with a degree from outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland (90 credits), where I also serve as examiner for one of the courses. In addition, I teach and examine in the stand-alone course Supervisor Training I (7.5 credits) as well as in the Nursing Programme, mainly in semesters 2 and 4. I supervise and examine theses at both undergraduate and advanced levels.
At the doctoral level, I currently supervise three PhD students (two as principal supervisor and one as co-supervisor).
In my clinical combined position, I am responsible for nursing within Area 2 at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Together with the Chief Nursing Officer, I work to develop and strengthen nursing as both an academic subject and a profession. I also lead research and educational initiatives related to all nursing programmes at the University of Gothenburg. In addition, I practice clinically as a nurse in the Mobile Home Healthcare Team.
In summary, I have a stimulating and varied role that allows me to grow in close collaboration with colleagues.
