Hoff Brattberg is a PhD candidate and university lecturer in psychology at the Department of Psychology. She is affiliated with the Section for Organization, Health and Addiction. Hoff Brattberg is a licensed psychologist/organizational psychologist with extensive experience in the school context. She received her psychology license in 2013 and graduated from the University of Gothenburg’s Psychology Programme in 2012. Between 2012 and 2019, she was employed as a school psychologist, and between 2013 and 2019 she served as a guest lecturer in the field of work and organizational psychology at the Department of Psychology. Since August 2019, Hoff Brattberg has held a position as a lecturer at the department.
In her role as lecturer, Hoff Brattberg primarily teaches work and organizational psychology as well as student health services and health-promoting school development. She also teaches about professional supervision and development in working life. Over the years at the University of Gothenburg, she has served as a process leader within SBS (Collaboration for Best School), a professional supervisor within the National Principal Training Programme, and a project manager for school development initiatives commissioned by school authorities. She has also worked as a conflict advisor and carried out internal assignments related to executive coaching, work environment issues, group development, and collaboration. For several years, Hoff Brattberg has been a member of the Programme Council for the Principal Training Programme as well as the Programme Committee for the Psychology Programme.
Research and doctoral education
She began her doctoral studies in 2026 but has for several years been involved in various research activities. For example, Hoff Brattberg is a co-founder and network coordinator of the Research Network Sustainable Teacher Leadership (FNHL). Her doctoral thesis is part of a larger research project funded by Forte, entitled: “Co-production, implementation, and evaluation of a feasible intervention to prevent mental ill-health and teacher turnover.”
Third mission
In addition to her engagement in education and research, Hoff Brattberg continuously collaborates with the surrounding community through various research partnerships, consultancy assignments, expert roles, and lectures, primarily related to sustainable working life, school development, and student health services.
The common thread throughout all these areas is contributing psychological knowledge to the development of sustainable school organizations that promote health, learning, and high goal attainment for everyone working within them, and ultimately strengthen a more sustainable society.
