I am a PhD student at the Institute of Health and Care Sciences and affiliated with the Centre for Person-centred Care (GPCC), Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, and a Nurse Anaesthetist at Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, Sahlgrenska University Hospital / Östra. I am also head of the PhD Committee at the Institute of Health and Care Sciences and PhD-representative in the Council for the Head of the Institute (IR).
Research
My PhD project aims to evaluate the prerequisites and effects of an opioid-saving person-centred care pathway compared to conventional opioid-based anaesthesia in patients undergoing bariatric surgery. The PhD project is part of a larger randomized controlled study, Effects of an Opioid-saving Care Pathway for Patients undergoing Obesity Surgery. Education
Primarily I am a teacher in the postgraduate programme in specialist nursing with specialization in anaesthesia care, but I also teach in other courses regarding anaesthesia at both bachelor- and postgraduate level.
