In this seminar we will present highlights from a book that we and our colleagues in the DIGMA-group at Mälardalen University (MDU) have written. In the book we argue that the future of work is determined by sociotechnical imaginaries that emerge through the interaction with and among humans and technologies. By deconstructing these it is possible to contribute to the development of alternative, more human-centric, inclusive, and sustainable futures compared to the futures that we otherwise see emerging from the trajectories of current techno-optimism and capitalism. In this seminar we would like to invite you to reflect with us which new research questions this raises, especially in the area of public administration.
