Entry requirements
Degree and main field of study
The programme leads to a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Conservation with a specialisation in Building Crafts.
(Degree of Bachelor of Science with a major in Conservation with
Specialization in Building Crafts).
Content
The programme comprises three years of full-time study and leads to a Bachelor's degree. The spring semesters in years one and two are extended by 7.5 credits, and the spring semester in year three comprises 15 credits. Progression in learning takes place through increasing demands in knowledge components, skills training and problem solving.
The programme includes an internship.
In order to promote internationalisation, students are given the opportunity to apply for an exchange for the part of the programme that consists of elective specialisation courses (semester 5). Elective courses totalling a maximum of 30 credits may replace the elective courses offered at the department. In order to replace the programme's elective specialisation courses, the elective courses must be training in traditional building crafts in another country.
The head of education decides whether a course can be replaced after receiving an application.
During semester 5, there are elective courses; other courses are compulsory. Work-based education comprises two courses of 7.5 credits each. The degree course for the Bachelor's degree is the independent project.
