About

In this course, you gain broader and deeper knowledge of Spanish grammar from both a theoretical and a practical perspective. You will construct grammatical rules deductively and demonstrate your understanding by applying them in various communicative situations. By analysing texts and completing your own communicative tasks, you develop both your written language production and your linguistic awareness.

Teaching is conducted through lectures and seminars in Spanish and Swedish, and you have the opportunity to work both individually and in groups. The course includes a written examination, a group project with several submissions, and an oral presentation — allowing you to develop both your analytical and oral skills.

The aim is for you to be able to formulate well-structured argumentative texts on relatively complex topics in Spanish and to explain and defend your own grammatical analyses.

The course is part of the Intermediate Course on Spanish Grammar (SP1210, 30 credits). The 30-credit package also includes:

  • SP1211 Intermediate Course in Spanish Language History and Linguistics
  • SP1212 Intermediate Course in Literature and Cultural Studies
  • SP1214 Intermediate Course in Academic Writing
