About

In this course you learn about various political science research areas. You study these different research areas by reading both classical text and current research. Furthermore, you learn how to apply different theoretical and analytical perspectives as well as different research strategies and research methods. You will also train to write and present critically reflective problem-based research overview assignments.

The course begins with an introduction to political theory and rational choice. The course is then organized around four areas of research: political behavior, comparative politics, public administration and international politics.

Entry requirements

A minimum of 60 credits in first cycle Political Science (or equivalent) of which at least 30 credits from in depth courses in the first cycle (or equivalent). Applicants must prove their knowledge of English: English 6/English B from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS.
