In the course, you independently plan, carry out and present a scientific investigation. The work includes formulating a clearly defined research problem, collecting relevant material, and using methods and theories relevant to international relations to conduct a credible analysis and draw independent and well-founded conclusions.
The work is presented in the form of an essay, which is discussed at an examination seminar where you also provide constructive feedback on another student’s essay. A large part of the teaching takes place in the form of individual supervision.
Prerequisites and selection
Entry requirements
Admission to the course requires a passed result in 30 credits core courses and 30 credits advanced courses in international relations and passed result on method courses of 15 credits in global studies, or the equivalent.
Selection
Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits.
After graduation
After studying international relations, you have relevant knowledge and analytical tools for work at workplaces with an international focus.
