Short description

The Historical Labour Database (HILD) comprises the most relevant Swedish wage statistics for the years 1865-1990. The aims of compiling historical wage data in one database are:

- To stimulate historical labour market research concerning wages.
- To encourage and facilitate for students to write essays and dissertations about labour market conditions during the industrial era.
- To provide information to the general public about the level of income of various wage categories.

The HILD project has been enabled through financial support from Riksbankens Jubileumsfond and the University of Gothenburg.
