Short description

The funding was granted from Forma's call for "Social planning for a sustainable social development". The project started in 2013 and lasted until 2019.

Many risk issues are cross-border and difficult to place easily within established national, political, economic and organizational frameworks. This is particularly evident in, for example, natural disasters, climate change, the spread of infectious diseases, and extensive toxic emissions, which often involve cross-sectoral risk management based on formal and informal collaboration in networks of public and private actors. The research project studies risk perceptions, communication, interaction and division of responsibilities in stakeholder networks that deal with cross-border risk issues where geographical, political, administrative and organizational boundaries are exceeded.
