Giovanni Volpe awarded 150 000 euro ERC grant

In their latest round of funding, the European Research Council (ERC) has awarded Physics professor Giovanni Volpe a Proof of Concept grant of 150 000 euros for the project IFLAI, Virtual tissue staining by deep learning.

Giovanni Volpe is awarded a Proof of Concept-grant of 150 000 euro. An ERC Proof of Concept grant allows a researcher who has previously received funding from ERC the opportunity to continue to expand and develop their project further.

Giovanni Volpe is one of six researchers in Sweden to be included in this most recent round of funding. His fellow recipients can be found at universities including Chalmers and Lund University.
