Eight marine research projects awarded funding

Published

Declining seal populations, melting sea ice and non-indigenous microscopic species. These are three examples of marine-related research projects at the University of Gothenburg that have been awarded a combined total of more than SEK 39 million in funding from the Swedish Research Council and Formas.

About the funding calls

The Swedish Research Council and Formas issue annual calls for research funding. The projects supported by the Swedish Research Council have been awarded funding through the calls for natural and engineering sciences. The projects supported by Formas have been awarded funding through the Career Grant for Early-career Researchers call.
