Apply for funding from the Nordic Gender Fund this autumn

The first call for applications for the newly established Nordic Gender Fund will open on 15 October 2024. Deadline for applications is 15 November.

The Swedish Secretariat for Gender Research at the University of Gothenburg is committed to supporting the infrastructure for a broad field of research on gender and other power structures. As part of this work, the Secretariat has established a Nordic Gender Fund, which will be announced once a year.

The aim of the fund is to strengthen infrastructures for knowledge produced within a broad field of critical studies of power. Applications for funding can include journals, conferences and networks for research on norms, beliefs and structures that create, reproduce and maintain inequalities based on, for example, gender, race/ethnicity, sexuality, class and age.

Applicants affiliated to universities in the Nordics

The Nordic Gender Fund is accepting applications for all types of costs, including salary costs, for activities carried out in 2025. To be eligible to apply, you must be affiliated with an institution at a higher education institution in a Nordic country.

The call opens on 15 October and closes on 15 November 2024.

Conditions and criteria for applying to the Nordic Gender Fund can be found on the Secretariat's website for the Nordic Gender Fund, where the application form is also published when the call opens: Nordic Gender Fund | University of Gothenburg (gu.se)
