Research
DEMSAM’s research focuses on person-centred approaches, dementia-friendly environments and broad collaboration. The aim is to develop knowledge that can be put into practice through education, implementation and active knowledge dissemination.
DEMSAM conducts research focusing on person-centred methods and approaches that strengthen people living with dementia and their relatives. The research also includes the development of dementia-friendly physical and social environments that promote participation, safety and quality of life.
Collaboration is a central element of DEMSAM’s research. The work is carried out in close cooperation between municipalities, regions, academia, industry, people with dementia, relatives, interest organisations and other societal actors. This creates knowledge that is relevant, useful and possible to put into practice.
DEMSAM also has a clear focus on implementation, education and knowledge dissemination to ensure that research and experience lead to tangible change in care, support and society.
