About Per Thilander

Since 2014, Per is one of two directors for Centre for global HRM (CGHRM). The centre was established by the faculty for Business Administration together with the faculty for Social Sciences and aims to strengthen the Swedish competitiveness and foster sustainable working life by initiate, drive and develop relevant HRM research. The research aims to be utilized through seminars, conferences and other new meeting points between representatives from the academia, private companies and public organizations. The centre also put effort in strengthening the education for forthcoming HR professionals, both at basic and advanced levels.

Pers area of research is about organizing HR, how big multinational companies and public organizations introduces shared service centres and service delivery models in HR and what effects this has on line managers and HR professionals in the organizations. In an ongoing project, Global HR transformations, three global and multinational companies are studied. The research focus is on how they introduces the concept of HR transformation globally and what challenges this results in according to the organizations, the line managers and the HR professionals in consideration to national, cultural and institutional aspects.
