About

The overall objective of the course is to give the students well-grounded knowledge of the analysis of the development of low-income countries and regions. The objective involves a general overview of growth and development theories, and a deeper focus on selected topics. At the practical level, the course seeks to introduce students to the application of quantitative and statistical techniques that are now central to research and applied work in the development field. Students will be required to carry out case studies using empirical methods, and to carry out presentations to their instructors and fellow students.
