Global Logistics Management
About
This course aims to provide a knowledge base to understand the operation of the management of business logistics. Through analyzing successful business examples, the student would be able to recognize different processes that are part of the supply chain as well as to integrate theoretical logistics concepts from a practical point of view.
This course is designed based on the TPACK-model (Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge). Thus, this course will combine logistics concepts with methods of teaching (case studies, problem-based learning) using digital technologies and tools. This course covers:
- the basic concepts of logistics
- active learning activities focused on relevant topics in logistics from a practical point of view. Specifically, all themes will be structured on a similar approach: Primarily, based on the flipped classroom idea, each student will prepare an active learning activity focusing on a real company. Next, each student will examine it through small group discussion in order to integrate critical thinking
- analysis of a real supply chain scheme through a technological approach. At the end of the course, each group will present their work to the rest of the students with the aim of analyzing together the differences and similarities in the different cases examined
- complementary activities for the students to gain contact with the real world of logistics.
This course is open to
