About
Statistics are often extremely valuable when important decisions are made concerning financial matters, community planning, environmental measures, technology and healthcare. The course introduces students to methods utilised to compile, present and calculate summary measurements for the description of statistical data. Basic probability calculations are also covered.
Additionally, the course includes hypothesis testing, point estimation and interval estimation for one or two populations. Computers are obvious and invaluable tools in the analysis of statistical data. The course literature and lectures will exemplify how data analysis is completed by using computer programs for calculations and data handling.
This course is open to
