If you are a university teacher or researcher in higher education, or have an undergraduate degree you are welcome to extend and expand your pedagogical knowledge with a 60 credit international master's degree in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education
The courses in this degree amount to 60 credits and are offered online on a part-time basis, which corresponds to two years of study. The degree requires 15 credits of scientific methods and a master's thesis of 15 credits. The language used is English, and we welcome applicants from all scientific fields and disciplines.

Credit Transfer
If you have completed diploma courses in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, either at the PIL Unit at the University of Gothenburg or at another university, you can validate those provided they have not already been used in another degree that constitutes the entry requirement for the Master’s degree. If the courses are non-credit-bearing (e.g., PIL101, PIL102, and PIL103), you can apply to have them recognized as credits within the main field of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
