Sign in the center – place-making by controlling the aesthetic order in urban space

In my PhD dissertation project I am interested in how public spaces are designed, and interests and ideas it is based on. More specifically, I investigate three local centers in south of Stockholm, each property owner's view of the center's values and qualities, and their strategies for how these environments are designed and for whom. I do this through for example discourse analysis, field and interview studies.
