Sebastian Lundström appointed associate professor in child and adolescent psychiatry.

The Gillberg Neuropsychiatry Centre is delighted to announce that Psychologist Sebastian Lundström has been appointed associate professor in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Sebastian Lundström is a licensed psychologist who graduated from  Lund University in 2007. In May 2011 he defended his PhD thesis named “Autistic-Like Traits” and then began his research at the GNC. His research interest lies within the field of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and concomitant conditions.

Sebastian mainly conducts research within the field of epidemiology, where the focus is on prevalence questions and transitions to adulthood for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

In 2013 Sebastian was the recipient of the prestigious LifeWatch Award for “Young Autism Researcher”. In 2018 Sebastian presented at the 1st International ESSENCE conference in Gothenburg and he will also be presenting at the 2nd International ESSENCE conference in 2023.
