Master's students in Entrepreneurship winners at the Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum 2015

Published

One of our Master’s students in Knowledge-based Entrepreneurship (KBE) just won a pitch competition during the Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum (JWEF). JWEF is an event for young entrepreneurs around the world. The event is held annually and this year it was the time for Gothenburg to host the event. It was inaugurated by the mayor of Gothenburg Anneli Hultén and among the speakers was for instance Navid Modiri.

On Tuesday 31 March a pitch event was held by Drivhuset and Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship where the pre-selected seven finalists first had to pitch their idea in front of a jury for five minutes and then for two minutes in front of the whole audience. The jury selected Simon Arvidsson, who is studying at the Master’s programme Knowledge-based Entrepreneurship at Handelshögskolan, and his contribution Capturest – a digital scrapbook, as the winner, and SEK 25 000. Together with his team of 7 people he is developing a mobile app that enables fast, simple and personal documentation of all of life's moments.
