Automated system for DNA extraction at Biobank Väst

DNA extraction is one of the services offered at Biobank Väst. The service can be used by all types of research studies that want to extract DNA from blood or buffy coat, to perform analyzes such as sequencing or genotyping with GWAS analysis.

- With our automated system, the samples are handled completely automatically from the time we set up the thawed blood tubes in the robot until the DNA is extracted," said Kristina Lind, PhD and manager for lab and IT at Biobank Väst.
