The Chamber Choir of the Academy of Music and Drama presents a springtime concert featuring music that captures the anticipation and hopefulness of the season. The program includes some of the absolute classics of Swedish choral poetry, such as Wikander’s “Kung liljekonvalje” and Stenhammar’s “Vårnatt” (Spring Night), in which we hear both the Nordic melancholy and the heartfelt hope that comes with the arrival of spring. The program also includes some elements from the world of folk songs and music by contemporary Swedish composers, such as Agneta Sköld and Anna-Karin Klockar. The performers are also particularly delighted to premiere “En dag” by composition student and choir singer Nicolás López Fors during the concert.
