Welcome!

Today, Sweden imports 74% of the seafood we consume and over 90% of the farmed fish we eat. At the same time, we have great potential to increase domestic production thanks to our long coastline, numerous lakes and waterways, and our strong position in technological and biological research.

Meet researchers who demonstrate how Swedish aquaculture can contribute to increased food security, and experience new culinary possibilities and circular solutions for more sustainable food production.

Learn more about today’s Swedish aquaculture, as well as new and exciting species and technologies that are emerging for the future. You will discover how fish, mussels, algae, and sea cucumbers can be farmed in synergy, and explore both open offshore farming systems and land-based recirculating aquaculture systems.

Come and see and touch different species of algae, make your own seaweed salt to take home, and take part in building a circular fish farming system.

Make your own seaweed salt: 10:00–11:00, 12:00–13:00, 14:00–15:00
Fish in a loop – build a circular system: drop-in throughout the day

Samples of future “blue foods” will be available during the day.

Warmly welcome!
