Phineidae is about meaning and non-meaning – a shifting framework of structured but abstract symbolism and semantics. In the twilight and after the sun has set, we will find ourselves in the midst of a heavy heartbeat, an invisible body, represented by three singers. These three are a trinity, called upon - as individuals and a collective – to sing, speak, shout and whisper a surreal story of identity, desire and the other. The invisible body is transformed into the sound of the organ, whose harmonics constantly shift between the consonant and the dissonant. Through a wall of speakers, acousmatic voices are emitted, whispering confessions and fragmented axioms. Together, these form a grand yet fragile sound world that shifts between the clear and the unclear.
The work is composed by Arvid Kraft and performed by Benedetta Porcedda (organ), Ingrid Berg, Casey Moir, Þórgunnur Anna Örnólfsdóttir (vocals) and Gusten Aldenklint (live electronics).
The concert will be amplified by Ljudhavets acousmonium, a loudspeaker orchestra for immersive art.
The concert is organised in collaboration with Gothenburg International Organ Academy.
