Culture and languages

Across three specializations; metal art, wood-oriented furniture design and textile-body-space, the exhibition MA:XI presents eleven practitioners and their final exam projects. The creatives display a breadth of materials and techniques, alongside contrasting approaches to the fields of art, craft and design.

The process of making is central in MA:XI. Hands-on experimentation such as plant-dying wool, tin soldering, and splitting birch wood fuels development and unlocks new questions.

From nothing to something, the exhibition explores eleven different perspectives on how to engage with matter, space and forces in 2023.
