Anders Jormin, an internationally acclaimed jazz double bassist, brings a wealth of experience and innovation to the stage. With a career spanning decades, Jormin's ability to push the boundaries of his instrument while maintaining a deep connection to tradition has earned him a dedicated following worldwide. His compositions and improvisations are known for their depth and emotional resonance.
Jormin's discography includes numerous solo albums as well as collaborative efforts with other prominent musicians and ensembles. His work as a composer and performer has received critical acclaim, and he has been recognized with awards and honors for his contributions to the music world. Anders is also a highly respected teacher at the Academy of music and drama where he started the Improvisation department and now is professor emeritus in Improvisation.
