Five Researchers Awarded Grants from the Handelsbanken Research Foundations
The funded research projects cover topics including leadership, violence against women, healthcare utilization, and decision-making. Five researchers at the Department of Economics at the School of Business, Economics and Law, University of Gothenburg have been awarded funding from the Handelsbanken Research Foundations.
The Handelsbanken Research Foundations received a record number of applications in spring 2026, with the total amount requested exceeding SEK 1 billion for the first time. At the same time, the foundations awarded the largest total grant amount in the programme’s history.
The following researchers at the department have been awarded funding:
- Moritz Janas – Decision-Making in Manipulable Information Environments
- Henrik Petri – Attention, Errors, and Welfare in Stochastic Environments
- Sanna Bergvall – Motherhood, Violence Against Women and the Impact of Asking
- Jens Wikström – Determinants of Unequal Healthcare Utilization: Evidence from Sweden
- Joseph Vecci – Identifying and Developing Effective Managers: Field Experimental Evidence from Professional Teams
