The Swedish Armed Forces

The Swedish Armed Forces have contributed to R&D activities at the University of Gothenburg for many years. These are mainly linked to concept development of the total defense healthcare system with SA IKV as executor. The Center for Defense Medicine and the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg have an agreement regarding the forms of academic collaboration. Within the scope of the collaboration are research collaborations but also support in the form of a librarian for the national armed forces library. The armed forces believe that disaster and military medicine should be developed and researched in order to develop care in crisis and war. The formation of the center will be able to be one of the Armed Forces' national centers for military medical research.
