About Toms Voits

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Gothenburg Department of Psychology where I work with Martin Lövdén out of the Lövdén lab.

My research interests lie at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience, language sciences, and linguistics. I am particularly interested in understanding the impact of various life experiences and lifestyle factors on neurocognitive development (across one’s lifespan) and cognitive aging trajectories. To date, my research has primarily focused on exploring the potential implications of bi-/multilingualism on neurocognition in later life, as well as their relevance to clinical neurodegeneration. I employ a combination of behavioral and neuroimaging methods (EEG/MRI/PET) in my work.
