About Pavel Rodin
Pavel Rodin is a PhD Candidate at JMG and started the graduate program in September 2014.
- Master degree in Public Relations in Economics from Saratov State Socio-Economic University (Russia), 2009;
- Master degree in Communications from University of Gothenburg, 2013;
- Pavel has more than 5 years of practical experience in the field of financial communications for several large banks in Russia.
- In 2013-2014 he worked as a lecturer and research assistant at the Department of Applied IT at GU.
Social media, crisis communications, cross- and intercultural communications
Current doctoral research is placed on crossroads of several fields, namely crisis communications, social media (and more specifically on how user-generated content reshapes perspectives on crisis communications) and intercultural communication (validation of developed theoretical frameworks in relation to national ethnic cultures).
