Learning and Leadership for Health Care ProfessionalsAbout Marcus Lundmark
Background and Current Role
Marcus Lundmark is a specialist nurse in psychiatry and holds a Master’s degree in quality improvement and leadership in healthcare. He works as a service developer at the Department of Psychotic Disorders, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, with a particular focus on person-centred care, the use of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs), and the development of learning health systems for continuous improvement.
As a doctoral student at the University of Gothenburg, Marcus explores how the use of DIALOG+—a structured, digital communication tool—affects patient involvement, the role of the clinician, and the therapeutic relationship within psychiatric outpatient care. His dissertation is based on both qualitative and quantitative methods and is carried out in close collaboration with clinical practice.
I am driven by a strong ambition to enhance patient involvement in their own care and to enable data-informed development that supports continuous improvements in clinical work. By combining practical experience, improvement science, and research, I aim to contribute to a more learning-oriented and person-centred mental health care.
