Hannah is a PhD student at the Department of Food and Nutrition and Sport Science.
Hannah is also a clinical dietitian since 2004 and a specialist in childhood obesity since 2019. Alongside her PhD work she works at the Childhood Obesity Unit in Malmö.
The title of the PhD project is: Promoting vegetable and fruit consumption among children: Exploring thoughts and evaluating new health promotive practice to increase intake
The project consist of:
- Interviews with children age 10-12 years and their parents, exploring thoughts, conceptions and experiences of vegetables and fruit
- Development of a new health promotive practice for vegetable and fruit consumption, "A Palmful of Colour", to be used by families in their home environment.
- Evaluation of the new practice by a randomized controlled trial (RCT) aiming to include 80 families. The data collection takes place in the Skåne region of Sweden. Mobile phone cameras are used to collect a large part of the research material.
Main supervisor is Professor Christel Larsson at the Department of Food and Nutrition and Sport Science. Co-supervisor is Professor Anna Winkvist at the Department of Clinical nutrition at the Sahlgrenska Academy.
