I am a film educator and a university lecturer in film.

I mainly teach film education, what it can be about and how it can be practiced.

Research

Together with colleagues from fields such as film and education I explore what film can be and how cameras can be tools for learning.

Background

I have a master’s degree (MFA) in film, with a specialization in curating for film and video. Over the years I have worked with film education in a lot of different cultural and educational projects. I have for example worked with senior citizens that participated in the practice of parkour, where video and cameras were used as a tool for exploring, relating too and portraying the training discipline. In another project that I was part of kids got to discover what cameras can do while exploring different means to use public space in meaningful ways.
