Developmental Psychology in School Context

Developmental psychology is the branch of psychology that studies physical, mental, and behavioural changes that occur with age. It investigates biological, psychological, social, cultural, and environmental factors that affect development throughout the lifespan. Professionals working with children are often faced with questions regarding child development, relevant for planning and delivering activities, as well as supporting mental and physical wellbeing of the children and adolescents they work with. 

During the course you will get a basic knowledge about emotional, social, and cognitive development features within areas of most relevance in school context. Also, issues of application of theoretical knowledge and empirical findings will be discussed.
