About

The course takes as its point of departure the 54 articles of the UN
Convention on the Rights of the Child. Important content areas are:
Theoretical constructs for describing and understanding children's
development and learning, childhood politics with specific focus on the
relationship between rights and realities in the everyday lives of
children and the implementation of the CRC in different countries, in
particular those the students come from.

This course can be combined with the other courses in the Education Science track; PDG092, PDG094 and PDG458. It can also be combined with one of the following courses from the Teacher Education track (only for Teacher Education students); LÖVU00, L3VU00, L6VU00, as well as with either L3EN10 or L6EN10.
