We welcome and care for you

The International Committee (IntU) of the Student Union cooperates with the International Office at the School to welcome and care for all the incoming exchange students at our faculty.

Incoming exchange students are provided with a two week-long welcome program arranged by IntU at the beginning of each semester – the Welcome Weeks.

IntU creates a social platform for exchange students, internationals and domestics and makes sure that all international students have the best time possible in Gothenburg and at the School. They arranges several events throughout the semesters, everything from sport events and city excursions to dinner parties and pub hang outs.

Courses for exchange students

The school publishes many of its courses (especially law) in the catalogue at a late time. See previous semesters to get an idea of what the course offering usually looks like.

Most of the courses are electives, or specialization courses at the advanced undergraduate/graduate level. Students are cautioned that some courses have a limited number of places available.

Some of the courses included in this section are offered subject to a minimum and/or maximum number of participants. Course starts are therefore contingent on the total number of registrations. The following course descriptions are arranged by subject area, rather than by department.

Please note that planned courses may be withdrawn from the list, for various reasons, while new courses may be added. The International Office will, of course, attempt to keep visiting students informed of such changes.

Students wishing to take academic courses taught in Swedish may contact the International Office for more information at courses@handels.gu.se.
