Applied Project in Molecular biology (internship)
About
This course, Applied project in Molecular Biology, is a version of course BIO335 - Applied Project in Molecular Biology, and is open for international (English speaking) students.
In this course, you will perform an independent experimental or theoretical work under supervision. You will present your work in an essay or report in English.
The aim of the course is to give you the opportunity to get in touch with research in the field of molecular biology. You have to look for supervisors and projects yourself, either at the Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology, at another department in the same subject area or externally at companies or authorities.
The course is only available for students admitted to the Bachelor’s or Master programme in Molecular Biology.
In order for you to be registered on the course, the project must be approved by the examiner.
Entry requirements
Completed basic courses in biology comprising 60 credits in the subject areas of cell biology, molecular genetics, evolution, botanical and zoological physiology, ecology and biodiversity and systematics, or equivalent, of which at least 45 credits must be approved. At least one in depth course of 15 credits in a relevant area are also needed. To provide the requirement in English by an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS, the English proficiency should be equivalent to the level of English 6/English level 2 from Swedish Upper Secondary School.
