Summary

This course gives you a general overview of the languages ​​in Africa. Through lectures, reading of scientific literature and discussion among students, you are introduced to basic linguistic terminology and are helped to develop a basic understanding of various language structures typical for many languages ​​in Africa.

Prerequisites and selection

Requirements

General entrance requirements for university studies. Exemption is given from Swedish.

Selection

Selection is based upon average grade from upper secondary school (34 %), the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits (33 %) and Högskoleprovet - Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (33 %).
