EUTOPIA Summer School in Dresden: AI in Business and Healthcare

Students at the School of Business, Economics and Law and the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Gothenburg are invited to apply for a summer course in Dresden. The application deadline is 27 March 2026.

Content

Thematically, the Summer School consists of three main parts: (1) AI foundations, (2) AI in business, and (3) AI in healthcare. It provides students with theoretical knowledge and practical insights into the inner workings of AI applications, particularly autonomous AI solutions (including generative and agentic AI). Students will also learn how to evaluate AI applications from multiple perspectives (e.g., economic, ethical, regulatory, technical), as well as how to leverage them to transform business operations and healthcare delivery. Based on the knowledge and insights gained, students will develop, present, and discuss innovative AI use cases for business and/or healthcare.

Teaching format

The Summer School is centered around an on-site component, which is structured as an intensive five-day course (Monday morning to Friday afternoon) with six lectures (including group work and case discussions), two field trips (including keynotes and panel discussions), and group-based project work (including oral presentations). Prior to the on-site portion of the Summer School, students complete a digital component consisting of two online sessions and required readings. After the on-site portion, there is a second digital component in which students continue their group work virtually and prepare a project report within one
month.
