English: Master Thesis, Linguistic Specialization
About
This course aims at giving students an opportunity to work independently under supervision on an in-depth study of issues relating to both theory and practice in English linguistics. By applying such theories and also relying on relevant research, students are expected to write a scientific research paper on a selected topic in the field resulting in a 30 hec Master thesis in English linguistics.
Prerequisites and selection
Entry requirements
Bachelor's degree, of which 90 credits must be constituted by in-depth courses in English or the equivalent thereof in a foreign degree. An additional requirement is 60 credits in advanced courses in English, of which 30 credits must be constituted by passed results on EN2D11 and EN2M01 or the equivalent thereof. Passed language proficiency results from either an in-depth course in English, IELTS 7.5 or TOEFL must be presented.
Selection
Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits.
