About

The course Clinical Trials in Medicine provides an understanding of the regulatory and quality principles that govern clinical trials for drugs and medical devices. The course also provides an understanding of different types of study design as well as practical aspects planning, conducting and completing a clinical trial. Required occasions occur in the course.

Prerequisites and selection

Entry requirements

Admission to the course requires approved courses of at least 180 higher education credits. In addition, language skills equivalent to English A / English 6 are required.

Selection

Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 285 credits

After graduation

After completing the course, participants should be able to describe the key quality principles (GCP) and regulatory requirements governing clinical trials, explain the different phases of a new drug development program, understand the structure and content of a study protocol, and describe the key requirements for planning, conducting, and completing a clinical trial.
