SPICE: Stroke Prevention Integrating work through Co-Creation and community Engagement
Short description
The aim of the project is to develop and implement methods about how lifestyle-based stroke prevention can integrate work and everyday life after a TIA among persons in working age. This project is part of the Make My Day intervention.
There are knowledge gaps regarding the needs, sick leave, healthcare consumption, and effective interventions among persons who have had a TIA and are in working-age. The aim of this project is to contribute to closing these knowledge gaps, which is important in defining and developing precision health. Planned data consists of registry data, qualitative data, and measurement data/outcome measures. Data will be analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Stroke and other cardiovascular disease account for a large part of the disease burden in Sweden and worldwide. It is timely to focus on how risk factors for stroke can be reduced while promoting more healthy years of working life, which is important for both economy and labor market.
